Michiko Vartanian, Cavy Haven CEO, had this to say about last year’s SoCal Pignic:

“We raised enough to feed our fosters for several months and take care of some medical needs! It was a huge success all the way around. … And we have several who are interested and filling out [adoption] applications.”

Costume Contest: Must-See Squee

Of all the cavy-centric activities available during Pignic, the guinea pig costume contest was probably the most popular. To give you an idea of this event’s level of squee, the 2012 contest entries included an angel, a butterfly, a rabbit, a convict piggy, a witch, a Harley piggy, and more.
